Demolition of existing redundant factory buildings and construction of 22 x residential units with associated access, parking, cycle spaces, hard and soft landscaping at Site Of 4 Leigh Street, High Wycombe (22/06894/FUL)

Paradigm Housing Group has submitted plans to demolish a boarded-up bingo and snooker hall and build 22 houses.

In January 2018, Cllr Matt Knight described the redundant Needham Bowl site as making the High Wycombe street look like a “third world country”.

In 2019, it was tipped for a makeover but plans to build 82 flats never materialised.

A planning statement reads: “The site has been derelict for many years. A planning approval was received in 2019 for a flatted development but construction has proved unaffordable.

“This proposal is for a low rise, family-focused development.”
