Here is the moment Windsor Castle discovered that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had passed away.
The Head of State died in the afternoon of Thursday, September 8 with the news official being confirmed at 6.30pm.

Captured by digital content editor Isabella Perrin who was outside Windsor Castle, onlookers saw the castle draw its flag to half mast into honour the late Queen Elizabeth II.
