As the nation mourns Britain’s longest serving monarch, people gather to pay their respects.

In High Wycombe, mourners can light candles and sit down in remembrance at All Saints Parish Church on Castle Street.

When the Church staff set up a book of condolences inside at 9am for people to sign, two mourners were waiting outside.

Ministers will be present for a requiem service at 1pm, while the Church stays open until 4pm today.

Everyone is welcome to come in, sign the book or just reflect.

In Loudwater, St Peter's Church will have a book of condolences open to the public from 11am today Friday until 9pm, and again on Saturday from 11am until 9pm. This is followed by a Sunday service at 10am, including a prayer to the Queen.

At Union Baptist Church on Easton Street, people can come in for remembrance tomorrow Saturday from 10am until 2pm. Car park will be free for churchgoers.

Senior Reverend Malcolm Hazell said: “People can come in, they can write a prey or just sign their name, and light a candle. They can leave flowers if they like to, or just sit and be quiet.

“We will probably have some images of the Queen rolling on the background.”

There will be church staff present to speak with.

The Sunday service at 10.15 won’t be only about the Queen, but shaped around the loss, Rev Hazell said.

After the service, people can come in until 1pm.
