A killer who stabbed a teenager to death has been found guilty of manslaughter.

Justice Will-Mamah, aged 18, of Coniston Way in Bletchley, was responsible for the death of 16-year-old Ahmednur Nuur on February 11.

Will-Mamah fatally stabbed his victim in Palace Square, Leadenhall. The 16-year-old then proceeded to collapse outside the Chaffron Way campus of Milton Keynes College.

Students and staff provided Mr Nuur with medical care until emergency services arrived, but he did not survive his injuries.

Will-Mamah had pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter, but was found guilty by a majority jury today (Friday).

He was also found guilty of possessing a knife or bladed article i public.

The attacker attempted to argue that he was acting in self-defence, and that although he was carrying a large knife, he did not intend to use it.

Despite these arguments, the jury was not persuaded, and convicted the 18-year-old.

He is due to be sentenced at a later date.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Blaik, of the Major Crime Unit, said: "This is a tragic, senseless and completely needless loss of a bright young boy who had his life ahead of him. It has left his family and friends completely devastated.

“His evidence was he had no intention to use the knife but only produced it to protect himself.

“The jury rejected Will-Mamah was acting in self-defence and convicted him of Ahmednur’s manslaughter.

“They also rejected that he was in lawful possession of the large knife.

“There can be no excuse for carrying a large knife in these circumstances."
