High Wycombe has been named as the second most dangerous town in Buckinghamshire.

Out of all Buckinghamshire's larger towns and cities, High Wycombe has been identified as being the second most dangerous of them all, according to CrimeRate.co.uk, a data analysis and GIS project.

Milton Keynes came in top, as being the most dangerous town in the county.

But as far as the crime rate goes, High Wycombe is not doing badly, and is currently in the top 40th safest town's in England, Wales and Northern Ireland according to the project.

A spokesperson stated on their website: “In September 2021, High Wycombe had the worst crime rate in Buckinghamshire for possession of weapons, with 6 crimes reported and a crime rate of 0.06 per 1,000 inhabitants.

"December 2021 was also a bad month for High Wycombe residents, when it was Buckinghamshire's most dangerous area for burglary, recording 47 crimes at a rate of 0.44 per 1,000 residents. 

"The overall crime rate in High Wycombe in 2021 was 80 crimes per 1,000 people. This compares poorly to Buckinghamshire's overall crime rate, coming in 11% higher than the Buckinghamshire rate of 72 per 1,000 residents.

"Out of all of Buckinghamshire's larger towns and cities, Milton Keynes is the most dangerous. The next most dangerous is High Wycombe, and Aylesbury comes in as third most dangerous.

"There are safer parts of Buckinghamshire, starting with Shenley Brook End which ranks as the safest area in Buckinghamshire, followed up by Aylesbury in second place, and High Wycombe in third place."
