The Antelope pub in High Wycombe closed its doors for the final time this weekend.
The pub announced the closure on social media saying the cost of living crisis and rent prices have "become too much".
It officially closed on Saturday (September 10) with customers enjoying drinks being sold at 20 per cent off.
The owner, Mark Adkins revealed that after the pub company was unable to decrease its rent he was forced to close down The Antelope due to the ongoing cost of living crisis.
The pub's social media post said: "We’re very sad about closing, but with the failure of the pub company to decrease the rent, and the effects of the cost of living crisis, it has just become too much for us now.
"It’s been an incredible 7 years under Mark’s management, and we feel very accomplished in all of the things we have done in that time."
Under Mark's management, the pub has installed a large screen for sports events, taken up a 6am licence to open late and ran an all-vegan fast food truck in their beer garden.
Mark Adkins told the Bucks Free Press: "The Antelope pushed for and got a 6am licence, when at a time that the latest issues was 4am.
"We were the first to introduce an ID scanner so that barred customers were unable to enter, we had the huge outdoor screen and we were a vegan pub but many customers were not even aware.
"And due to our live music stage we attracted more customers to the town, even having more watching our stage than the main stage at Frogfest for the last two years that we had it."
The vegan fast-food truck The Bite Down in the beer garden of The Antelope is set to stay open but only for delivery and collection.
