A community fundraiser has been launched following a flat fire in High Wycombe.
The fire at Hayters Lodge in Free Cres on Friday, September 9 has left Ashlie, mum of two boys, with "nothing".
The blaze ripped through the property leaving Ashlie and her children currently having nowhere to live as they are temporarily staying in a local hotel.
The fundraiser has been launched to raise money for basic necessities, clothes and furniture.
A post on the fundraiser reads: "The fire has devastated the property and left Ashlie, a hardworking mum of 2 boys, aged 7 and 13, with nothing.
"Thankfully no one was hurt as Ashlie was out at the time, and the children were both at school.
"Whilst some of the children’s clothes were salvageable, other belongings have been burnt or damaged by smoke.
"Ashlie and her children currently have nowhere to live, and are currently staying in a local hotel temporarily.
"The school have helped with uniform donations, but with no insurance herself, she now has to replace everything for herself and her two children.
"We are hoping to raise enough money to help her replace the basic necessities, ID‘s, birth certificates, clothes, shoes and furniture for when she finds somewhere to live.
"Ashlie is such a hard worker, and such a loving mum, she really didn’t deserve this, please help us to help her rebuild her life with her two boys."
A statement from the fire service said: "Seven appliances and crews at the scene at the height of the fire, along with four officers. Appliances and crews attended from High Wycombe, Slough, Maidenhead, Gerrards Cross, Whitley Wood.
"Smoke was issuing from a four-storey block of flats when they arrived. The flats were evacuated. The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, four hose reels, one safety jet, one covering jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
"The fire was in a second-floor flat and spread to affect the roof of the building. The building involved was made up of an underground car park, ground floor, first floor and second floor."
