Two more eating establishments in Buckinghamshire have been given new ratings following recent inspections.

Carpenter's Arms, which is based on Wing Road in Stewkley, was handed a three-out-of-five rating following an assessment on August 10 this year.

Despite the average rating, they have managed to accumulate 63 reviews on Google with an overall score of 4.5/5.

The same cannot be said about the Dolphin on Totteridge Lane in High Wycombe, as that was given a score of one following a recent inspection on the same day as the Carpenter’s Arms (August 10).

A recent Google Review on the establishment reads: Photos are better than the experience. Small portions, not a lot of taste. Noisy. Staff [are] ok though.”

This now means that from Buckinghamshire's 447 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 288 (64 per cent) have scores of five and none have zero ratings.

A reminder of what the numbers mean:

• 0 means that urgent improvement is necessary

• 1 means that major improvements are necessary

• 2 means that improvements are necessary

• 3 means that the business was found to be generally satisfactory

• 4 means that the business was rated as good on assessment

• 5 means that the business was seen as very good
