COFFEE morning time at the Free Methodist Church Hall in Shepherds Lane on Saturday when coffee will be served from 10am.

ALSO on Saturday the end of the season for the Music Society, with their annual soiree at Beaconsfield High School after the 7.45pm AGM.

MONDAY sees the monthly meeting of Amnesty International, which will always welcome new members or visitors. Their meeting is in the URC Lounge in Aylesbury End from 8.15pm.

THE town should be a little quieterthis weekend after all the razzmatazz of the annual fair, so while you get over all the excitement perhaps you could think about helping others for an hour or so near the end of the month and early June.

A BRING and buy sale takes the place of entertainment for the Red Cross Over 65 club on Tuesday, starting at the regular meeting time of 2.30pm in the Red Cross Hall, Garvin Avenue.

THE following day is for the Catholic Women's League which meets at the Borlase Hall in the New Town at 2pm on the third Wednesday monthly. This month they will be entertained by slides from Corfu.

MEMORIES of a Grocer should be fun for St Mary's Evening Group on Thursday at the Fitzwilliams Centre when Peter Nicholls will be guest speaker from 8pm.

NATIONAL Trust, Beaconsfield Centre, members are reminded that all bookings for the next season should be made by May 22. This includes such interesting places as Slimbridge Wildfowl Centre, Sandringham House and Coughton Court.

MAKE a note in your diaries for a full day on June 9, as not only is Awareness Day in the New Town (am) but the opening of the local History and Information Centre and also Open Your Garden are after noon in the Old Town.

WITH tickets usually selling fast it is time to make your bookings for the annual outdoor theatre event at Hall Barn, produced by the Chiltern Shakespeare Company. This is Wednesday to Saturday only between June 13 and 23 and this year is in aid of the Thames Valley Hospice and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. The cost of tickets varies from day to day, but tickets are available from Drysdales in the New Town. Thanks go to Hon Mrs Jenefer Farncombe for the use of the grounds, which will give ample parking, space for picnics by the lake with your own or available food, and covered seating.
