A woman who stole a bank card from a vulnerable man and spent nearly £3,000 of his money has avoided jail.
Fouzia Baig, 48, has been handed a 24-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
Baig, of Bromy Croft in Slough, stole a bank card from a vulnerable man in Buckinghamshire some time between March 14, 2021 and March 20, 2021.
On April 6, 2021, Baig then proceeded to rack up a bill of £2,950 on the card, spending money at various locations.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on September 2, Baig pleaded guilty to charges of theft and fraud by false representation.
After considering the evidence, the justices found that Baig had committed a "serious breach of trust on a vulnerable person".
She was made to pay back the £2,950 in compensation to the victim. She was also made to pay £213 costs on top of her suspended sentence.
