A man was dragged from his car and struck with metal poles in a Buckinghamshire robbery.

Police were called to Windsor Lane, Burnham, after the victim had his phone and car keys stolen sometime between 2am and 2.30am on Saturday.

The man was driving his car when he was approached by the offenders, who hit his vehicle with metal poles.

When the victim stopped and lowered his car window, he was struck with a metal pole and one of the offenders pulled the car keys from the ignition.

The attackers then dragged the man from his car before stealing his mobile phone. They then left the scene on foot.

The victim suffered a dislocated shoulder and cuts to his head and arms, and has received hospital treatment.

The victim's car was also damaged in the incident.

The first offender is described as a short, white man of skinny build. He was wearing a hooded top with the hood up and face mask on.

The second attacker is described as a black man and of larger build than the other offender. He was also wearing a hooded top with the hood up and a face mask.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Ben Sarl of the Amersham Priority Crime Team, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who has CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area at around the time of the incident to contact us.
