The Epilepsy Society is set to reveal more details about its plans for 1,000 new homes in Buckinghamshire countryside.

Epilepsy Society’s announcement to seek planning permission for almost 1,000 homes on field and Green Belt land to help the Society’s unstable financial situation attracted criticism from residents.

Development of the area would see 975 new homes, 75 homes for retired people, new primary school, shops, sports facilities and a café to help the Society through a difficult financial situation, the Society said.

Concerned residents worried for example how the roads could cope with hundreds of new homes and the impact of developing Green Belt.

Now the Epilepsy Society is hosting a public exhibition for residents, businesses and other stakeholders to explain the planning application for the 300-acre site in detail.

The exhibition includes a guided walkthrough to reveal more about the charity’s plans and a chance for the public to discuss with the project team.

It is held in Kent House at the Epilepsy Society’s Chalfont Centre on Chesham Lane, Chalfont St Peter on Thursday September 29 and Friday September 30 from 12 noon to 7pm, and on Saturday October 1 from 10am to 1pm.

Booking is advised, as the venue can only accommodate a limited number of people, the Epilepsy Society said.

Exhibition visits can be booked here.
