A man who was caught using a television without a TV licence was taken to court and made to pay up over £100.
Kenneth Smith, 40, of Compton Road in Wooburn Green, has been fined £40 and told to pay an additional £94 in costs after he admitted to the offence.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on September 14, Smith pleaded guilty to a charge of using a television set without a licence.
The court heard how the offending took place on January 17.
Smith had been due for a trial but switched to a guilty plea at the hearing.
A standard TV licence currently costs £159 per year.
