A GLOBAL star of the darts world will be visiting High Wycombe as part of an ambitious two-day charity road trip.

James Wade, ranked fifth in the Professional Darts Corporation Order of Merit, will be greeting fans at Adams & Page in Cressex Industrial Estate on Thursday, September 29, as part of the 'James Wade 501 Rally' to raise money for Bipolar UK, a condition that Wade himself suffers from.

As part of the challenge, Wade has been visiting nine individual Falken tyre dealers during a 501-mile drive from Inverness to London in a £501 Ford Focus.

Darts fans will get to see the world famous player at the Stoke Mandeville  Autocentre between 12.30pm and 1.30pm and then at 2.15pm and 3.15pm at Adams and Page.

He will spend an hour at both shops, playing darts with staff and customers, as well as an open meet-and-greet with fans.

James Wade said: “I have always had an interest in cars and combined with my roles as a Bipolar UK and a Falken ambassador, taking part in a charity rally seems the perfect vehicle for a fundraising challenge. As someone who has been diagnosed with bipolar and ADHD, I am fully aware of how challenging this can be and the aim is for the rally to raise awareness of the condition and the incredible work Bipolar UK do.

“We purchased the Ford Focus a few weeks ago and have prepped it for the rally, so we are now all geared up and ready to go on our fundraising journey.

“It’s fantastic to have Falken, their tyre dealers and their customers supporting the rally. I am looking forward to dropping in and thanking them personally for their support and throwing a few legs of darts with those involved.”
