A new bakery is planning to open in Gerrards Cross town centre.

Gail's Bakery is looking to move into a vacant building that previously homed bakery Jungs.

Plans have been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council to install signs on the building located at 7 to 9 on Packhorse Road.

The bakery is mostly a London-based chain, opening its first bakery in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005.

There is currently a Gail's bakery in Beaconsfield whilst earlier this year the bakery opened a branch in Marlow.

A planning statement reads: "These proposed advertisements will result in the enhancement of a currently vacant shofpront, providing an overall uplift to the unity and its setting on the primary shopping frontatge.

Part of their website reads: "Today, we have 79 bakeries in neighbourhoods in and around London, Oxford, Brighton and beyond.

"We bake fresh, handmade bread, pastries and cakes every day, served with our carefully-sourced house blend specialty coffee. We take great pleasure in using the best ingredients we can find for food and drink, using seasonal ingredients from suppliers we trust.

"Though we’ve grown over the years, our philosophy has remained the same: to make good food that people love, and create bakeries that people want to keep coming back to."
