A ‘massive’ fire broke out in a popular Indian restaurant near Slough yesterday (October 1).
Fire engines and hoses filled Mays Xing as firefighters tackled the blaze inside Spices Indian Cuisine at around 3pm.
Smoke could be seen “billowing” from the back and rear of the building.
“We really appreciate your amazing kindness and support at this extremely devastating time,” wrote the owners of Spices to its customers on Facebook.
“Emergency services are still working on the scene. They've done a magnificent job to reduce the scale of damages and potential spread of the fire. We thank their efforts.”

Mr Giddens continued: "The whole through road from Horton to Slough was completely blocked off by police.
He said eight fire engines were parked outside the restaurant.
"I thought it was sad. It's not the whole restaurant - I understand it’s just the kitchen area - but more than that I don't really know.”
Spices said they have lost access to their customer contact details and are not in a position to inform people who have made reservations or pre ordered takeaways about the incident
