A morning car smash left a home in need of repairs in Aylesbury.

The residents of a home had a shocking start to their day after a car crashed on the wall of the property on Chappell Close, a residential cul-de-sac with a 30mph speed limit.  

Firefighters and police officers were called to the scene of the crash at 8.36am on Wednesday (October 5).

One appliance and crew from Aylesbury fire station along with one officer found the car had damaged an electricity box and brick work at the front of the house.

A downstairs toilet was also flooded after impact from the crash broke a pipe.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The firefighters isolated the water leak, and the incident was left in the hands of the homeowner.”

Thames Valley Police declined to comment.
