THE PUMPKIN season is here, and gourd farms across Buckinghamshire are ready to welcome families for a fun day out.

Thousands of pumpkins are waiting for eager pickers and visitors wanting to get that perfect seasonal Instagram snap.

Heading out to your local pumpkin patch is a great way to get fresh air while supporting small business.

Odds Farm Park carving weekends and Pumpkin Festival

The 35-acre family farm has more than 4,000 pumpkins.

The attraction near Beaconsfield is hosting the Carving Weekends on October 8, 9, 15 and 16 ahead of the annual Pumpkin Festival during half term (October 22-30).

Odds Farm Park is also home to more than 30 animals, including rare breeds, an outdoor adventure playground and indoor play barn for visitors.

Christmas Tree Farm’s pumpkin patch

The family- run farm’s pumpkins are all harvested by hand, no HGVs are used to move them, and pumpkins are sold without packaging to avoid waste.

Nathan’s Farm open daily

The farm has gourds in all shapes and sizes alongside animal feeding and petting, egg collecting, café serving pumpkin soup, and spooky treats.

From Saturday October 8 Nathan’s Farm offers daily pumpkin picking for £10 entrance fee per car, which includes access to the farm.

The farm is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sundays 11-4pm.

Church Farm’s pumpkin patch weekends

The farm invites pickers to explore the patch to find their perfect pumpkin and enjoy other activities every weekend in October.

There are thousands of pumpkins, gourds and squash in 32 varieties for carving, cooking and decoration.

Other activities include face painting, bale maze, photographer on site, and coffee and food vans.

The patch is open on October 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30 between 10-4pm.

Entry costs £1, and last entry is at 3.30pm.

The Pop Up Pumpkin Farm

The pop-up patch at Bucks Goat Centre is back with around 4,000 pumpkins, decorations, carving and games to play from October 15 to 31. Tickets need to be pre-booked, and slots are selling out fast.

Entry for children under three years of age is free.

Peterley Manor Farm weekend patch fun

The 40-acre family-run farm in the Chiltern Hills will kick off the pumpkin season 2022 on Saturday October 15 with pumpkin patch, facepainting, takeaway food from the Barn Kitchen and photo opportunities with the pumpkins.

Dates and times are Saturday 15th October 9am-4pm, Sunday 16th October 10am-4pm, Saturday 22nd October 9am-4pm, Sunday 23rd October 10am-4pm and half term week from Tuesday October 25 depending on pumpkin availability.
