Several Scouts from Buckinghamshire will be visiting South Korea next summer.
In total, 54 teenagers between 14 and 17 along with six adult volunteers will fly over to the Far East to participate in the World Scout Jamboree.
James Palin, lead volunteer for Buckinghamshire Scouts said: “Going to a World Scout Jamboree as a participant only happens once.
“I’m sure they will have a brilliant adventure.
“They have spent many days team-building, fundraising, trying Korean food, learning about Korea, and making new friendships.”
The Scouts are hoping to increase their numbers come the end of the year, with spaces being hot in demand.
Adult volunteer Nigel Taylor added: “Whatever time you can spare, we will find a role for you.”
