HIGH Wycombe's very own personal MONOPOLY game has been released today.

The board celebrates the town's past and present and residents will be able to get their hands on one today (Friday, October 28).

Wycombe foodbank One Can Trust is being honoured on the game and if you land on this square, you're two doors away from the Free Parking square.

The One Can Trust Operations Manager Jo Belshaw said: "We are delighted to have been chosen to appear in this special edition MONOPOLY game. The charity is currently supporting over 800 people a week across South Bucks."

Hughenden Manor has been revealed as the 'Mayfair of High Wycombe’ and our very own Bucks Free Press newspaper even has it's own dedicated space on the board.

Other leading High Wycombe landmarks to feature include The Golden Ball, Wycombe Town Hall, Wycombe Arts Centre, Adams Park, The Chair Factory, Hell-Fire Caves, the Eden Shopping Centre and The Guildhall.

The Chance and Community Chest cards are customised as well.

One advances players to Hughenden Manor to enjoy ‘the spring blossom’ and the money has been customised as well to include a motif of a chair in recognition of the town once being dubbed ‘The Chair Making Capital of the World’.

High Wycombe has landed the honour of its very own customised MONOPOLY game and on Friday (28th October 2022) is the game’s ‘Big Reveal’.

The big reveal for the Monopoly game starts at 10am at Wycombe Arts Centre.

There will be a gigantic replica of the board game, MR. MONOPOLY, top hats, game boards and giant MONOPOLY money. 

Custom Games Executive at Winning Moves UK Ella Gibbs, who are the makers of the board under official licensing from Hasbro, said: “It’s a board celebrating High Wycombe past and present – and very much reflective of the times.

“We have been wonderfully spoilt for choice putting this game together. A huge thank you to everyone who sent in suggestions”. 

Over the last 25 years Winning Moves UK and Hasbro have produced official versions of MONOPOLY in places all over the world from Sydney to Dubai and now High Wycombe.

The MONOPOLY: High Wycombe Edition game hits the shops at 10am on Friday and will be available at Waterstones, WHSmith and extensively online, including on Amazon and Booghe.
