Just Stop Oil protestors returned to stretches of the M25 for the fourth day in a row this morning (November 10) and are causing traffic disruption in Buckinghamshire.

The demonstration started during today's rush hour at around 7:20am and affected the road between J15 M4 and J16 M40.

A number of people have been arrested this week as protesters have been seen climbing gantries at various points of the M25.

Since Monday (November 7), there have been demonstrations on stretches of the motorway in Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and Surrey

A National Highways spokesperson said: "Please be aware of an ongoing police led incident on the M25 between J15 and J16 this morning.

"The road is closed in both directions whilst police manage the incident. Other police led incidents on the M25 have since cleared however there are along residual delays from this."

Inrix, the traffic data company said: "Severe delays due to earlier protest incident on M25 in both directions between J15 M4 and J16 M40.

"Congestion to J14 Heathrow, anticlockwise back to J17 Maple Cross. Also M40 queues to and from Uxbridge, and very heavy through Uxbridge, Hillingdon and West Drayton. All lanes have been re-opened.

"First stopped anticlockwise at 07:20, just south of J16. Reopened anticlockwise just before 09:20, clockwise ten minutes later."
