Two new clothes shops have opened in Marlow as another continues to prepare for its first day in the town centre.

Burrows & Hare recently welcomed its first customers at 40 High Street replacing Lou Boliaur photography.

The independent menswear store is the store's second with the first being in Oxford.

The store sells a menswear range including clothing, footwear, accessories and lifestyle items alongside grooming products.

A statement on their website reads: "At Burrows & Hare we believe in opting for a higher quality of product, made by skilled and talented people.

"Through classic styling, quality materials and meticulous finishing, each product becomes timeless, making it a modern classic.

"Overall, we align our lifestyle philosophy with 'buy less but buy better quality goods' it strives towards reducing waste, pollution and misconduct against labour force."

Opening just across the street at 6 Market Square, English family clothing store Jam Industries has replaced the Swish Fibre Hub.

The broadband provider opened the hub in March 2021 in place of Cath Kidston but has closed the hub after 20 months.

This is Jam Essentials' seventh store having locations in Devon, Cornwall, Falmouth and London and selling a range of men's and women's clothes.

The company is run by two brothers Andrew and Mark who make up the ‘a’ and ‘m’ in ‘Jam' with their surname Jordan, the ‘J’.

The brand looks to bridge the gaps between city and coastal style.

A post on their website reads: "When we started in 2013, we just wanted to make comfy clothes we could pack into a weekend bag.

"Our goal was to deliver the perfect 'apres surf' wardrobe, designed to move effortlessly from a long day on the beach to a vibrant bar at night… anywhere.

"As our brand has slowly grown we have developed a deeper passion for our garments; delivering luxury, sustainable products, at affordable prices.

"We believe in fair pricing, and as such, you will never see garments on sale in a Jam store, because our price point is always the best we can affordably achieve."

Next door to Jam Industries, Fairfax & Favor is getting ready to open its store at 7 Market Square, formerly the Phase Eight store which closed down in June.

Their website reveals the store is “coming soon” to Marlow as recent plans show the front of the store will be dark blue.

Marlow will be the brand’s fifth store after it opened its first in Norfolk’s Holt in 2019.

It has since launched stores in Stamford, Helmsley, and most recently in Stow-on-the-Wold.

Their website sells both men's and women's clothing with “both town and country in mind”.

A statement on their website reads: “In less than a decade, Fairfax & Favor has grown into a multi-award-winning brand at the very forefront of British Luxury Fashion.

“We design with both town and country in mind, creating timeless investments for anyone with a passion for style and adventure."

The opening of Fairfax & Favor will see the opening of three clothes shops in close proximity as the Christmas period approaches.
