A woman in her seventies remains in the hospital with five broken ribs and suspected fractures to her arm and ankle as police are appealing for witnesses to a fail-to-stop crash.

The woman and one other person were crossing Wycombe Road in Prestwood opposite Mill End Close at 10.05pm on Monday (November 21) when the collision took place.

While crossing, police say a black Citroen Berlingo or a Peugeot Partner van collided with the woman.

The woman was knocked to the ground and the driver of the van did not stop at the scene.

She was taken to the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, where she remains at this time.
