A man in his nineties was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in critical condition following a burglary.

At around 2.45pm on Saturday (November 11), the man was in a property on Cedar Terrace, when entry was forced into the building.

Around £250 in cash and some jewellery was taken from the property.

A 46-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody at this time.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident. 

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Alice Broad, said: “I am appealing for anybody with any information about this burglary to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody walking nearby or who may have been driving in the area to check any dash-cam footage, and get in touch if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation.

“Anyone with any information about this burglary should call 101, quoting reference number 43220524140 or make a report online.

“There will be an increased presence of officers in the area while we conduct our enquiries.”
