A NEW timetable for Chiltern Railways was announced ahead of Christmas.
Passengers travelling on the Chiltern Railways network can expect changes to the timetable ahead of the holiday season to help on the busiest services.
The new December timetable is due to kick in from Sunday December 11 onwards.
This is expected to add more than 1,000 extra seats on the most crowded trains, including the commuter services into and late-night departures from London Marylebone.
Chiltern Railways uses all its available rolling stock, and some lesser used trains have been shortened without affecting customers’ comfort, the company said.

Decisions to shorten certain services are made on the basis of customer data, which also helps the train company to monitor crowding levels across the busiest routes.
