A NEW business has opened its doors in the heart of Marlow high street.

Fashion country wear brand Fairfax and Favor opened in the former Phase Eight store in Market Square, Marlow, on Thursday, November 24.

Set up by friends and founders, Marcus Fountaine and Felix Parker, Marlow is fifth shop - the first two being in Holt in Norfolk and Stamford in Lincolnshire.

They specialise in luxury boots and shoes for both men and women, inspired by country life and as a brand, want to pioneer 'rural vogue'.

The store design is inspired and designed around the theme of boats, with portholes and ropes being the main feature throughout the store. The team has been excited to welcome customers and offer both walk-in and private styling appointments.

They also offer birthday appointment package where customers will receive a cake, champagne and a gift from the brand and even a birthday balloon to walk away with.

Co-Founder of Fairfax & Favor Felix Favor Parker said: "We are thrilled to open the fifth Fairfax & Favor Store in Marlow.

"Marlow is a beautiful town and we have already been made to feel so welcome by the community. The town fits in with our other store’s strategy to open in thriving historic market towns and I can’t wait to welcome customers in this store .”

The store’s very own manager explained what it has been like operating in the high street.

Connie Conidi, Fairfax & Favor’s Retail Manager said: “Since opening the store in Marlow on 24th November, the town and locals are really happy to see us there. Everyone is impressed by the store and how amazing it looks; customers have commented on the products and level of quality.

“We have had a lot of new customers who weren’t aware of the brand – they saw the store being renovated, popped in and purchased a blue box.”

The Marlow shop will be open seven days a week 10am-5pm from Monday to Saturday and from 11am-4pm on Sundays.

Fairfax and Favour is one of three clothing shops to have recently opened in Marlow.

Burrows & Hare recently welcomed its first customers at 40 High Street replacing Lou Boliaur photography.

The independent menswear store is the store’s second with the first being in Oxford.

And opening just across the street at 6 Market Square, is English family clothing store Jam Industries which has replaced the Swish Fibre Hub.

The broadband provider opened the hub in March 2021 in place of Cath Kidston but has closed the hub after 20 months.

This is Jam Essentials’ seventh store having locations in Devon, Cornwall, Falmouth and London and selling a range of men’s and women’s clothes.
