A Non League team are ‘heartbroken’ after a burst water pipe caused significant damage to their clubhouse in Buckinghamshire.
Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, who play their games at Haywood Way within the town, confirmed the news via their social media pages on December 17 – the same day they were due to face Colney Heath.
The match against their league rivals was postponed due to a frozen pitch, but images and videos shared on Twitter revealed the extent of the damage that had been done following the broken water pipe.
Absolute heartbreak when so many people have put in so much effort into the club, but the silver lining is nobody was hurt. 💛💙 pic.twitter.com/2xXTJbJ0N8

Numerous interior ceiling squares from the main corridor inside the stadium had been destroyed by the water, which caused a huge leak in the building.
It is not known how long it will take for the damage to be repaired, and this is not the first time that Dynamos have found themselves in an unfortunate scenario.
In January 2021, the club’s pitch was completely flooded after heavy rain hit the South East, whilst in March 2022, Dynamos’ clubhouse was broken into with money being stolen from its till.

The theft occurred just one day after the club confirmed a charity incentive day against Buckinghamshire neighbours Risborough Rangers, with the match supporting the football charity, Kit Aid, along with the Ukraine Appeal.

Considering just how bad it looked when I first discovered it, it could have been a LOT worse... pic.twitter.com/0NSXLh3VYD

The charity day was a huge success because instead of money, the club invited spectators to donate unwanted clothes as a form of payment.
An auction was conducted via the Bucks Free Press with the money raised going straight to the charity.
Additionally, with 220 fans walking through the gate, it was Aylesbury Vale Dynamos' largest crowd of the 2021/22 season.
