PLANS to demolish a former High Wycombe pub for new flats has been withdrawn by the developer.
Members sitting on the Buckinghamshire development management panel were due to hear an applicant’s scheme to knock down the historic Mason Arms pub in Saffron Road to build five flats.
All of the flats would have included an open plan living/dining and kitchen area and one or two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
The flats would not be provided with any car parking but would have one cycle parking space each, within the courtyard amenity area.
Bucks Council received the application on March 30. It was validated on May 10.
The Mason Arms closed down during the pandemic and is ‘no longer viable’ as a pub.
But the developer withdrew the plans to convert it into five flats on Wednesday, December 7.
