THE POLICE have launched an investigation into a night-time blaze that damaged two cars.

Firefighters were alerted after a van was on fire on Narcot Road in Chalfont St Giles around 1am on Saturday January 14.

When the appliance and crew from Beaconsfield fire station arrived, the white Transit van was fully alight, and it was “100 percent damaged by fire,” Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

The flames had also spread to a neighbouring white Ford Fiesta, which suffered external damage.

Now the police are investigating the incident as a suspected arson.

Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “We would appeal for anybody who witnessed this incident, or who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam in their vehicles to please check this.
