A MUM with young children made an emotional plea amid fight against terminal cancer.

The single mother-of-two Victoria Baillon from Hazlemere in Buckinghamshire is fighting to survive since her devastating breast cancer diagnosis in October 2020.

This was followed by a mastectomy for and an all-clear – until the 37-year-old was told in November she had incurable cancer, an advanced stage 4 metastasis to the bone.

Despite success with treatments and spending most of 2022 in remission, Victoria’s health deteriorated in December, and tests showed how the cancer had spread to her liver, spine, lungs, shoulder, neck and the other side of her pelvis.

Now her friend of 15 years Christina Zealey has launched an urgent fundraiser for a chamber oxygen concentrator and immunotherapy to help Victoria’s battle.

Victoria said: “It’s not been great, to be honest.

“When I found out about the liver metastasis in November, it took the NHS about six to seven weeks or so for me to start a new chemotherapy treatment, which obviously in that time I was without any treatment whatsoever.

“When I was really poorly around Christmas time, before starting new treatment I was waiting for, it’s become as no surprise to me that the cancer had spread even further and become, unfortunately, more aggressive.

“With more advanced cancer, ever single day the cancer will grow.”

Victoria struggles to breath properly, which in turn leaves her without energy to spend time with her children Austin, 8, and Eva, 6, which is what she desperately wants to do.

“They are my world. It breaks my heart that I’ve always been very fit, gone running, and had a healthy diet, and it has such an impact on everyone when you become debilitated with cancer,” she said tearfully.

“We enjoy going to shows, my son’s in a group musical, we really love spending family time together like that, and that helps with my mental health.”

Disappointingly, single mum Victoria, who loves burying herself in studying and learning, had to put her dream of becoming a barrister on hold after completing two modules.

Most of half Spanish Victoria’s family lives abroad, including her dad in Tenerife, while her mum and brother live nearly an hour away.

“My mum has had to give up work to care for me and the children."

Before her health collapsed in December, Victoria had gotten a puppy, and she was looking forward to outdoor walks.

Friend Christina said how through everything, Victoria “has always tried to remain positive and above all protect her children from having to witness what she is going through.

"She has had all of her freedom taken away because of the debilitating affect on her body.

"To watch my friend, who has always been so happy, full of life, joy and energy be drained to the point where she cannot move without assistance has been just overwhelming for all of us and obviously we are doing the most we can with what we have and where we are but she needs more than we can give and do for her and that's why I started the GoFundMe.”
