A Non League club from Buckinghamshire will have a backlog of fixtures to play before the end of the season, after they suffered six consecutive postponements.

Risborough Rangers, who play their home matches in the village of Horsenden, have played just seven times since the start of November, as 10 of their last 11 games have been called off due to the cold temperatures.

Frozen pitches at their Windsor Stadium, along with unsafe playing areas at the home of their opponents, have given the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division a heavy programme of fixtures to be played during the spring months.

Their last outing was a 3-2 home loss against Leighton Town on January 2 – an incredible 41 days after their previous match at their stadium.

This also ended in defeat, as Rangers lost 4-3 against Oxfordshire-based Ardley United thanks to a last-minute winner.

Good news for the club however is that their next game, which is away at St Panteleimon on January 28, will go ahead due to their opponents playing on an artificial 4G pitch.
