Top: These boys are members of the Sands Cubs’ troop in 1952.
Centre left: Mayoress Fry cuts the cake during a ceremony to launch ‘Sandcastle’, the newspaper published by the Church of St Mary and Sr George in Sands, November 1957. This was claimed to be the first church newspaper to be published in Bucks.
Centre right: These young girls were among the nearly 100 children of employees of Richard Hudnut Ltd who attended the firm’s Christmas party in December 1954. This was held in the works canteen in Lane End Rd, Sands.
Left: Former pupils and teachers of Sands School held a 50th anniversary reunion in July 1953.
