THE POLICE have appealed for witnesses and footage after a balaclava wearing gang threatened a homeowner during a burglary.

A group of offenders forced their way into a house on Lower Road in Higher Denham on February 2 around 6.35pm.

They threatened the occupant with a screwdriver when they were challenged inside.

After they took off, a black Mercedes C class identified as having been involved was spotted in Little Chalfont on its way to Chorleywood on the A404.

Police officers tried to stop the car around 8pm, but it didn’t stop.

The car continued to the M25 at junction 18 to junction 16 before joining the M40.

It was last seen exiting the M40 at junction 1.

The offenders were described as white men, around 6ft tall and all were clad in black clothing and balaclavas.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Benjamin Sarl, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have information about what happened to please come forward.

“I’d also appeal to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the local area or have any dash-cam footage that may have captured the pursuit.”
