A café in Beaconsfield will offer free food to school children in the area.

The Dove Café has teamed up with Helping Hands, a group that aids those in the town, to give meals to students whilst they are on their school holidays.

A staff member at the café said: “It is a place where everyone is welcome.

“A place to connect our community – to each other, to good food, to activities, to access support and to fellowship at St Thomas’ Church.

“The Dove Café is part of St Thomas’ Church, but the café is run by staff, volunteers, and advisors from the wider community.

“We are a non-profit making venture and any surplus from the café is reinvested into activity for the community.

All children must be supervised by a responsible adult during their visit to the café, and when entering the vicinity, an item of food will be on a heart-shaped token which the student is allowed to pick.

They will then be given the meal that was on the token.
