Vandals have left a trail of destruction after a number of attacks to parks across Marlow.

Officials have hit out at the offenders who caused damage and graffiti last weekend including flooding a park, defacing a memorial bench, and setting bins alight.

Marlow Parish Town Council clerk, Hilary Martin, said the gate to the May Balfour Gardens was flooded by someone ripping a tap out of the wall.

She said: "Vandals scaled the locked gate at the gardens and ripped a tap out of the wall.

"They placed the hose through the gate to flood the area."

It is one of a series of vandalism acts reported in Marlow between Friday, February 10, and Sunday, February 12.

Hilary said: "Graffiti was discovered in Campbell Park playground and bins had been set on fire at Gossmore Recreation Ground and Riley Park."

Marlow Town Council has said they have a zero-tolerance policy for graffiti and will remove it as soon as it is reported.

Police are also circulating images of the graffiti and urging residents to come forward if they recognise the tags.

The council is urging anyone who witnesses further vandalism to immediately report it to Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or click here to log an online report.
