A WOMAN has been attacked by two dogs after she was forced to lay on her own pet to protect it.

Thames Valley Police said the dog owner was rushed to hospital after the 'dangerous dog' attack in High Wycombe on March 1.

It happened about 2pm when the victim, a woman in her fifties, was walking a Siberian husky off the lead in a field between Hawthorne Road and Herbert Road.

The force said the other end of the field was a man walking two dogs off the lead: a Staffordshire bull terrier and an 'XL bully'.

Officers said the man put his dogs on the lead when he saw the husky and the dogs 'approached with no issues'.

However, the man shouted at the victim to put her dogs on the lead and got verbally abusive.

All three dogs then began to fight, and the woman dog walker tried to intervene before laying on top of her dog to protect it.

Thames Valley Police said the woman was rushed to hospital with three serious dog bites on her leg and arm, and spent four days in hospital for treatment.

The man with the two dogs is described as white, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, aged around 20-25, of average build and had a Polish accent.

Investigating officer PC Amy Gliddon said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with information to please come forward.
