A 68-year-old man and his dog were injured in a random attack in Wendover.

At around 6.30pm on Thursday, March 9, the pensioner was walking his pet in Grenville Avenue between the junctions of Halton Lane and Carrington Crescent.

As he got near Halton Lane, he noticed two men acting suspiciously.

As he approached the road, one of the two men squirted a liquid from a container into his eyes.

It is yet to be established what the liquid is, but it is described as smelling like ammonia.

Following the incident, the two men then got into a dark-coloured Volkswagen Golf which was driven away towards Halton Lane.
