RAIL passengers are facing delays between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury following heavy rain flooding the railway.
Chiltern Railways has warning customers that disruption is expected for a number of hours today (March 26).
Due to heavy rain, floodwaters have blocked the line impacted all services between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury. The flood waters have impacted a damaged culvert under the railway and as a result there has been a number of cancellations for passengers and delays throughout the day.
Network Rail staff are monitoring the situation and hope that disruption will ease from 4pm.
Currently, Chiltern Railway tickets are being accepted via any 'reasonable routes on Arriva Cross Country Services between Banbury and Oxford. Tickets are also being accepted on bus services including the Arrive no 280, Arriva no300, Stagecoach no S5.
A Chiltern Railways spokesperson said: "We 're sorry for the delay to your journey. If you have been delayed by 15 minutes of more, then you are likely entitled to compensation. Go to https://bit.ly/3K9ovbl to make a claim."
