A luxury clothing store in Marlow has launched a new summer range ahead of its 10th anniversary.

Fairfax & Favor is a Norfolk-born brand that was the brainchild of two best friends, Marcus Fairfax Fountaine and Felix Favor Parker, and launched back in 2013.

The company's timeless and sophisticated designs are equine-leaning, with its most popular outerwear including authentic leather boots, jackets and handbags, all produced in the UK.

With a growing social media following and a reputation for high-end products, Fairfax & Favor seems to be defying high street odds by embarking on a nationwide store expansion while other independent businesses are yet to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

A store worker in the Marlow branch, which opened last November, said: "We have managed to expand our stores across the UK at a time when other brands are finding it difficult.

"This is because of the amazing following that we have - people appreciate the quality of the clothes and we try to keep the same core styles, alternating in colour palettes depending on the season.

"We're really looking forward to the first summer season in Marlow because of these gorgeous new products and also because this year marks the brand's tenth anniversary!"

Fairfax & Favor have just unveiled their new summer range in Marlow, combining their classic designs with two new colours - sunset orange and ocean blue - for outerwear designed to see through the warmer months.

They're the new kid on the block of British luxury fashion - following in the footsteps of much-loved brands Burberry and Barbour - but with an emphasis on personalised service that's a bresh of fresh air amid the detachment of many fast fashion retailers.

The Marlow store at number 7 in the market square is intimate and minimalistic, with harbour-themed decor, reflective of its proximity to the Thames, and a designated private appointment room for stylist consultations and events.

With 281k followers on Instagram, they're a brand that has adapted to the modern digital landscape as much as any other but the store assistant said Fairfax & Favor's ethos remains focused on maintaining an in-store relationship with customers.

Felix Favor Parker, co-founder of the company, said: "We chose Marlow as the location for our fifth store thanks to its rich history as a thriving market town.

"Our store also offers birthday packages where customers will receive a cake, champagne and a special Fairfax & Favor gift. We aim to make every customer feel extra special so walk-ins are welcome and our friendly team are always on hand to help in any way they can."
