Buckinghamshire residents have been sharing their opinions on how to spot a fellow resident while on holiday, and some of them are quite unique.

According to the Bucks Free Press, some of the telltale signs when a Bucks local is abroad include wearing a Wycombe Wanderers shirt as suggested by Lou Silvani or suffering from a bad back due to the bumpy roads caused by potholes.

However, not all of the suggestions were humorous.

One reader suggested that Buckinghamshire residents are sometimes confused by clean streets, effective local councils, and visible policing, which is less flattering.

Others claimed that residents from certain towns were more likely to display common characteristics, such as those from Penn believing they are "superior to others."

Meanwhile, some readers suggested more physical differences, such as locals "wearing socks with sandals" or speaking with a 'twang'.

Others claimed Buckinghamshire residents would get "excited by seeing sand" or would call someone "moi duck."

Although some of these opinions may seem ridiculous, residents of Buckinghamshire seem to have a real sense of pride in their community, and many believe that it is one of the most special places in the country.

Whether it's their quirky sense of humour, their strong local identity or their unique physical attributes, residents of Buckinghamshire are certainly proud to be from "Bucks."

Here are some of the comments readers said: "

Lisa said you can tell someone is from High Wycombe as they "suffer from a bad back from continuously being jarred from the crater-sized potholes."

Roxanne Millward echoed this and said: "Talk about the pot holes taking over our roads."

Lou Silvani said: "Are wearing a Wycombe Wanderers shirt."

Matt Moon said "Call you moi duck?"

Naomi Nae White thinks Bucks residents: "Claim to live just outside London near Oxford..."
