A yellow weather warning has been issued for the South East of England.
The Met Office has confirmed that the heavy rain is expected to fall between 1pm and 8pm today [Thursday, June 22].
Disruption is expected due to thunder, lightning and floods which are anticipated.
They said: “Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop from late Thursday morning.

“Many places will miss these, but where they do occur, 20 mm of rain may fall in less than an hour with 30 mm possible within two hours in one or two places.
“Lightning will be an additional hazard for some.
“Showers and thunderstorms will then steadily die out during Thursday evening.
