A 37-year-old man has been charged with attempted theft after trying to enter cars in a Buckinghamshire street.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Wednesday, June 21 on Priory Crescent in Aylesbury, where the individual in question was seen trying multiple door handles nearby.

He was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted theft. He has been charged with vehicle interference (interfering with a motor vehicle or with anything carried in or on a motor vehicle with the intention of committing theft of anything carried in or on the motor vehicle).

Following his apprehension, he was taken to police custody and appeared before a judge on Thursday, June 22.
