A Non League football team in Buckinghamshire has criticised some of its own residents after new dugouts were vandalised just six hours after being installed.
Winslow United, who play their home games at Elmfields Gate in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One, showed off their new equipment on social media on July 19 – two days before their pre-season friendly against Buckinghamshire rivals, Aylesbury United on July 21.

However, just six hours later, they revealed that the items, which were donated to them by the East West Railway Company, had been deliberately damaged.
The image, which went viral on Twitter, showed the dugout upside down with a large chunk of the plastic being broken.
It had also been left in a bush by the pavement next to the stadium.
Taking to Twitter to share the news, the club said: “And it’s a record. Within 6 hours of them being delivered, the dugouts have already been vandalised. “Unfortunately, Winslow is home to some utter morons.”

Many online users and football fans quickly came to the club’s aid and expressed their support, with the dugouts now protected behind metal gates within the ground.
One spectator who was present at Winslow’s 4-3 home loss against Aylesbury said: “It’s a real shame that this has happened but what can you do?”
The club saw around 150 people attend their home loss against the Ducks on July 21.
