NEW pictures show the inside of Pure and Life on Mars nightclub in High Wycombe after it has emerged a new shop will be taking over the Octagon Parade unit very soon.

Earlier this week it was announced Refresh Wycombe, currently located in the Chiltern Shopping Centre, will be moving into the town centre's former nightclub.

The shop encourages customers to reduce, reuse, recycle and create.

Local businesses and individuals can donate unwanted items to the store where it can be given a new lease of life by a crafter or textiler.

Alongside the announcement, Suzi Jones of Refresh told the Free Press how people are now sharing their memories of the old nightclub.

Ms Jones said: "So many memories from people, just brilliant to read.  Some of you may remember it being a Post Office many years ago, but do you remember it as a nightclub? There were two club floors, Pure and Life on Mars. The purple glittery walls may bring back some memories for some of you!

"So much to look forward to but first, as you can see from the photos there is a lot of work ahead of us and we really need your help."

With the renovation soon going ahead, residents have been kindly asked if they could help give up their time to help create the new space.

Suzi added: "So much to look forward to but first, as you can see from the photos there is a lot of work ahead of us and we really need your help.

"If you have a few hours to give, you’re handy with a roller and would like to be part of creating something wonderful for our community, then we’d love to hear from you.

"We’ll provide the teas, coffees and biscuits of course and we’ll be so grateful for the help."
