A hit Netflix show has been busy filming in the area, with many viewers spotting familiar roads, shops and attractions.

Heartstopper, a British coming-of-age romance, was filmed across Slough, Windsor and Buckinghamshire.

The show follows two schoolboys as they realise their friendship may be something more.

Navigating young love and tackling social issues, the boys, Nick and Charlie are played by rising stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke.

Season one of the show was filmed across the area in Spring 2021, airing for the first time a year later in April 2022.

Viewers were quick to spot familiar places.

The now-empty E-ACT Burnham Park Academy was used as a key location in the series, with many outdoor rugby and school scenes taking place on the grounds.

Burnham continues its starring role with a scene set at Burnham village park.

Windsor was also a key location in the first season, with an address on St Marks Road acting as the main character's home.

We later see characters walk along Windsor and Eton Riverside along the Thames Path and at Baths Island & Pleasure Ground.

Across the border in Buckinghamshire, High Wycombe's Hollywood Bowl welcomed the cast for a few scenes where the cast had a go at bowling and playing on the arcade machines.

With Season two debuting on August 3, we have taken a look at all the key locations in season two.

The new series kicks off back in St Marks Road in Windsor before the characters make their way to a corner shop.

Norfolk Park Stores in Maidenhead features twice in the show, with the interior getting a revamp in scenes that were filmed within a day.

We again see Burnham Park Academy playing fields.

Viewers also see Nick's house, located in Maidenhead's riverside area.

Later in the show, we see Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) go to the cinema at Gerrards Cross Everyman.

Chesham high street is featured, with the exterior of Trekkers and the iconic clock tower being spotted in the background.

Berkshire Film Office were approached about the filming.

A spokesperson said: "It was amazing see the parts of Berkshire that we were involved with peppered throughout the series.

"Heartstopper is a touching and heart-warming story that is impossible not to warm to – it is an honour to have had it filmed locally."

The Bucks Film Office have been contacted for comment.
