Former offices in High Wycombe town centre could be turned into new apartments if the plans are approved.

The prior approval application proposes to turn existing offices at the Swan House on White Hart Street in High Wycombe into 11 flats.

The initial plans were submitted to Buckinghamshire Council in January but the applicant was asked to submit a detailed plan of how the proposed homes will be protected from traffic and commercial noise.

Applicant Mr Peters submitted the required acoustic report set as a condition for the plan for 11 apartments in Swan House.

The applicant said the “post completion noise testing will be submitted at a later date.”

The proposed development is located in the heart of High Wycombe town centre next to the Eden Shopping Centre.

Applicant Mrs Raja wants to build a new home in the countryside at the southeastern junction of Broad Lane and Wooburn Common Road a short distance from Wooburn Green.

The proposed five-bedroom house and garage would sit on vacant brownfield land formerly used as a mink farm in the 1920s.

Over the past century, the site changed hands multiple times and it was most recently used by Travellers, the application said.

The design of the proposed home will include brickwork and a tiles while the double garage accommodating three cars will be build in a barn-inspired theme.

Applicant Mr O’Donoghue has submitted plans to keep horses and to station caravans to live in and erection of dayrooms on the land off Hog Lane in Ashley Green outside Chesham. 

The proposed layout has been designed to facilitate a gypsy lifestyle, the applicant’s agent said.

The plans include two pitches for one mobile home and one touring caravan and a utility/dayroom to provide facilities so that the hazards associated with cooking and fire in the caravans can be minimised and to provide washing and bathing facilities.
