AN OUTDOOR cinema experience is coming to Aylesbury to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

The Luna Cinema is showing film favourites on an outdoor screen at Waddesdon Manor from Wednesday, September 13 to Sunday, September 17.

The summer programme for this year features Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and box office buster Barbie.

Guests have the option of purchasing premium director seats (limited availability) or bringing their own blankets and seats for comfortable lounging.

The Luna Cinema will have an onsite bar, sponsored by Malfy Gin and guests are also welcome to bring their own picnic, making it a great opportunity for alfresco feasting with friends or for a romantic date night.

With over 1,200 summer screenings since 2015, The Luna Cinema has established itself as the go-to destination for outdoor movie experiences.

George Wood, the founder of The Luna Cinema, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season.

He said: “Since 2008, we’ve had over a million visitors attend our screenings with The Luna Cinema serving as the best example of open-air cinema in the UK. For more than a decade we’ve been a coveted part of the country’s summer schedule, much like events such as The Chelsea Flower Show and Wimbledon.

"As well as offering world-class screenings, The Luna Cinema serves as a social experience which allows visitors to fully immersive themselves in the highest form of cinematic magic. We’re known for our outstanding, historical venues and our 2023 programme consists of 36 stunning sites, which are guaranteed to create a night to remember.

"With the inclusion of films like Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Barbie at Waddesdon Manor, we have a programme that will offer something for everyone in Buckinghamshire!"
