Emergency services provided 'critical care' to an individual following an incident near a waterway in Bucks. 

A spokesperson from the Bourne End Marina said they saw an air ambulance landing near the Thames Sailing Club between 11am and 11:30am yesterday (September 7).

They added: “There were no police, but I did see an ambulance heading in the direction of the sailing club and helicopters circling around the area.”

A representative for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance service said: “We can confirm that a helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident in the Bourne End area on Thursday.”

The fire service confirmed they rescued a woman from a ditch.

A spokesman from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We can confirm one appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, along with an officer attended.

"On this occasion our firefighters provided assistance to colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service.

"They provided oxygen therapy and assisted to release the women from a ditch."
