A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a dead body in High Wycombe.

Tyrell James, of Hawksmoor Close within the town, was charged with one count of the crime in the late hours of September 12.

This is in relation to the death of 44-year-old Karl Stanislaus, who was found unresponsive in Bowden Lane on Tuesday, September 5.

James was arrested three days later and was remanded into custody.

He will remain in prison and is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court later on today [September 13].

Following his apprehension and charge, another 23-year-old man from High Wycombe was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with Stanislaus’ murder.

He was taken in on September 12 and has been bailed to return on a date in the future.

Head of the Major Crime Unit, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, said: “Our thoughts are still with the family of Mr Stanislaus, who are being supported by specially-trained officers.
