Buckinghamshire's most dangerous neighbourhoods have been named in new crime statistics. 

Statistics for Buckinghamshire found that 51,730 crimes were reported in the county in 2022, marking the highest figures since before the Covid pandemic.

Buckinghamshire is the 27th safest county in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

The overall crime rate in Buckinghamshire in 2022 was 76 crimes per 1,000 people, and the most common crimes were violence and sexual offences, which happened to roughly every 33 out of 1,000 residents.

Out of all of Buckinghamshire's larger towns and cities, Milton Keynes is the most dangerous.

The next most dangerous is Aylesbury, and High Wycombe comes in as the third most dangerous.

There are safer parts of Buckinghamshire, starting with Shenley Brook End which ranks as the safest area in Buckinghamshire, followed up by areas in High Wycombe in second place, and Aylesbury in third place.

The top three most dangerous neighbourhoods in Buckinghamshire according to the figures were Bletchley and Fenny Stratford (3,276 crimes per 174 people), Woughton on the Green (2,541 crimes per 182) and Wolverton and Greenleys (1,788 crimes per 129 people). 

The safest neighbourhoods in the county are Great Missenden (333 crimes per 35 people) and Hughenden (159 crimes per 20 people). 

The statistics from crimerate.co.uk also found that violence and sexual offences were the most common crimes reported in the county as a whole, followed by drugs and public order offences.
